There is only a bottomless depth,
The sun will fade in them,
The moon will drown in them.

In the eyes of the black raven
The nag is harnessed in hearse,
The grim coachman drives the hearse,
There is a veil of mourning on his forehead.

Again the old raven announces the ill,
Directing his gaze from the branches of the dead trees.

In the eyes of the black raven
There is a reflection of a dream came true.
The mouth of a wide open grave
And an astounding silence.

In the eyes of the black raven
There is a dark reflection – a monument, frozen in silence
With a rope around the neck.

These eyes are piercing with the fatal glance,
And those who were alive are fading away in its reflection.
